The Charmed Times Reunion Band

The CTRB has been together for over three years, playing music that was popular in the '50s, '60s, and '70s -- and of course, is still popular today! Although they play mostly Rock, Doo-Wop, and Rhythm & Blues (Soul), you may find a little Country popping up from time to time.

The group has six members, all with extensive backgrounds in bands and music. Their emphasis is on singing with harmony, playing popular songs that are familiar to audiences in and around the Baltimore area.

Tom Engle is the principal lead singer. He does Sam & Dave, Temptations, Roy Orbison, and many more. Tom sang for the Deltas, and Tommy and the Artelles. He's a solid performer with a smooth voice.

Jimmy Hughes plays a bass (and guitar on occasion). He has been playing for over 40 years and is also an accomplished and entertaining vocalist Ask him any popular tune and he probably can play it. Jimmy's played with many area bands, including the Rhythmaires, CJ and the Rivieras, Legend, and the well-known Lower East Side.

Marty Mettee played in local bands during the '60s. He played lead guitar in the Marauders and The Graham Chambers System, both fixtures at Baltimore's '60s teen club, the Bluesette. He's an accomplished guitarist who also sings backup vocals on most of the CTRB repertoire.

Bob Jones is the man behind the band and has played drums for more than 40 years. He was a founding member of the popular Cindy and the Censations, and the beat behind the ever-popular Sentries for 35 years.

Gene Bracken is the keyboardist. He's an experienced player, working with CJ and the Legends, and the Sentries. He toured the country with a number of bands in the '70s. Gene is a serious musician and accomplished singer, providing both lead and backup vocals.

Ray Quigley plays rhythm guitar. Ray performed with the popular band The Graham Chambers System and other bands in the area.
